Parade Floats and Fiona the Fairy

July 24th or Utah Pioneer Day.
Instead of visiting the parade, we attended the come-see-the-pioneer-day-parade-floats event at the Sandy Expo Center.

Each float had activities for the boys to participate in and yummy popcorn to munch on while we walked around.

The best part of the event was the fairy float.  The fairy float had this cute fairy that told each of the kids to make a wish.  Conner thought hard and made a wish.  The fairy then instructed the boys to go home, clean their rooms, and then their wish would come true.

Conner hurried home and cleaned his room.
His room has never been so clean.

The boys wrote cute notes to the fairy and went to bed early.

The fairy came that night and left little notes and pictures to color.
She also left coins under their pillows.

We learned that our fairy's name is Fiona and that she likes to randomly visit our home at night before the sun sets and everyone is in bed.  When she visits, she likes to come to a house that is clean from toy clutter.  If the house is clean and the boys are asleep, she likes to leave letters and little surprises.

Sometimes the fairy leaves a note with jokes and sometimes she leaves a nickle or two.
The boys are very excited about their Fairy named Fiona.

Bed time has never been easier.
Rooms have never been cleaner.
I like this fairy named Fiona.
