Our Progressive Backyard

Our backyard is coming together a little bit at a time. I would have to say that I am tired... Even though I have had time to keep working on the yard this last week, I have just stayed inside.

I figure I will plant some trees in the fall when they go on clearance and I have a bit more motivation to touch a shovel.

We are happy that we have green in the back though and do not have a plethora of weeds.

The Amazing Conner

Conner is absolutely amazing.

A couple days ago, we had a play date with a friend who LOVES to climb on objects. Her ambitions have motivated Conner to begin climbing on more objects.

Yesterday, I was in the kitchen making dinner when Conner decided to climb into his high chair. Yes, you heard me - he climbed into his high chair on his very own!

He climbed into his high chair by pushing a chair against his high chair. He climbed the chair, climbed onto the kitchen table, and then into the high chair.

Wow - I am scared!

Nate!

Conner has learned that his Daddy's name is "Nate". When walking around the house, he now calls for "Nate" instead of "Dad".

I have been diligently working on teaching Conner to address Nate as "Dad" - but to do so, I have had to teach myself to address Nate as "Dad"... it has been an interesting adjustment to make.

I am amazed at how much Conner observes and imitates ... he is definitely keeping me on my toes!

Fathers and Sons

Nate took Conner with him to our ward's Fathers and Sons camp out last weekend. Conner loved spending time with his dad, playing with friends, watching Finding Nemo, and trying to stay warm with the unexpected snow!

Basketball Time!

Conner is growing up to be more and more like his dad!

Conner recently invented a game involving his stuffed animals, crib, and rocking chair. Conner will walk around the house and find random items such as deodorant, hairspray, Tupperware containers, etc. He will then take these items to his room and strategically place them on his rocking chair. Next, he gathers all of his stuffed animals from out of his closet, and throws them into his crib. Finally, he climbs into his crib - picks up the stuffed animals and proceeds to throw them at the objects he has placed on the rocking chair.. knocking them over one at a time. He could play this game all day.
